This is fucking brilliant!! (Excuse my over exuberant language, but sometimes in order to truly express my emotions, that word is my fave!)
As someone who is 64, I feel like my generation kinda blew it on a lot of stuff we should have fixed, or at least we should have tried harder to stop breaking stuff, and sometimes that can become overwhelming.
Thank you for the reminder. I try to live by "kindness matters" .....I will continue to try despite the constant barage of Rage 😉
On a serious note, I had to stop watching Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert and pretty much all late night TV during the Trump years. I found myself exactly as you so eloquently put it being enraged all of the time.
Guilty as charged. A lifelong sucker for every abused dog, child, woman, person of colour gender etc etc .I found myself just about done in by the Trump years! I found it such a relief to not watch the news while I was travelling that I continued. I find print news easier to assess and much less disturbing
Wow! Again, in full agreement with what you share. I started putting timers on my social media apps just to give myself that mandatory, though self induced, daily stop from the dreaded scroll. It has helped me control the doom sensation that had been building within. So, again, always, thank you so much for putting it into words
Struck a chord with me. Your summary line “or How To Care Less To Care More”, says it all.
Read versus flick is what I try to more of.
