Well said, as always. I've been on a waiting list for a GP for 14 months now, and last month I had to renew my prescriptions via TeleMD, which is fine except it costs $50 a pop and I can't afford to do that every month. Next time I'l have to go to the ER, and I'll feel terrible, because that's not what the ER is for, but I need my meds to live, and I can't see any other option. When our Health Care system worked, it was second to none. But sadly, that is no longer the case.
Just had hip replacement surgery It was a long painful wait but it’s done and now I just need to put in the effort to recovery. I am old enough to remember the bad old days when medical bills and hospital charges would swamp young families. The punch to privatize medicine and create a two tier system benefits no one but the big providers and undermines the services to the rest of the population.
We in the US could examine healthcare systems in other countries, tweak them to fit our country’s needs , but no one is willing to do that because of the all mighty dollar! For Canada to even consider privatization of healthcare would be a huge step backwards, imho

It's the repulsive disgusting Canadians that want to make money off of people's misery that disgust me the most.
Thank you!!! As always, you can be counted on to find those words that make me nod my head with vigor. Sending love from our family to yours
You hit the nail on the head....healthcare needs help and privatization will not help!!
