It’s quite something.
I started writing Lessons From Cats For Surviving Fascism as a bit of a joke.
A “ha ha, can you imagine if things got that bad?!” type of joke.
Then, in keeping with the cliche, all at once it wasn’t.
I’m not proposing that my little book can save America.
No, I think it’s beyond saving.
It’s more of a preparatory salvage mission now.
A bit like burning the dinner but choking down the bits that you can because there’s nothing else in the fridge and no money for takeaway.
All this to say, I think more people (especially Americans) need to read this book.
Like, now.
It’s like Animal Farm but more cats and funnier.
