Find Time In The In-Between
I woke up late today.
After about 2 months of go go go, it was the first morning I’ve woken up not exhausted, sick, and/or hungover in what seemed like ages.
It was divine.
I went downstairs to our living room and peaked out the front window.
No newspaper yet.
Suddenly I flashed back to my younger days.
No newspaper yet meant the world hadn’t started yet… at least for me.
It felt freeing.
This day could be anything I want it to be.
No horrible news.
No sad news.
No feeling like I was behind in the game already.
Then…
I could sense my phone calling out to me, “I’ve got all the news you want and even more you don’t!”
Not now, phone.
I need a break.
To rest.
To ponder.
To process.
Time in the in-between.
Before bad news caatches up and makes you feel helpless.
Those are the moments you feel change is possible.
And it is.
Those moments are rare these days… but I think they’re pretty important.
We should be aware of them.

You mean you don’t take your birthday month off from looking at the news?? I don’t either. Lol.
