Back in September we released STOP TRYING as a digital download plus a LTD Edition CD. It has confirmed my suspicions that the CD is dead. People just don’t buy CD’s anymore. Convenience is King. King Of Convenience would be a good band name. Likely no one could spell it.
The brand new ‘Priceless - Super Single’ has been released on http://www.brittlestar.com and is meandering into the world’s digital music retailers as we speak. iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody (which I’ve never actually visited but provides a good chunk of my digital sales revenue…I should go), they’ll all have it. Will you?
It features two new versions of the song Priceless. One is a dancey version and the other is a softer acoustic version featuring the immensely talented Lea Keeley.

The lovely young woman on the ridiculous cover of the single is Emily Luciani. That photo was taken from a photo shoot we did for the music video…which also features myself and Emily.
Ah yes, the video. It’s being edited as we speak. The young director is Mitchel Reed. He’s a whiz and a dynamo and a young gun and a whippersnapper and he’s quite talented. I haven’t seen the video edits at all yet, but I’m positive Mitchel will do a fab job.
The video shoot itself was actually a ton o’ fun. We invaded my cousin’s home and created this whole happy home vibe that Emily and I then tore apart with our awesome acting skills. We improvised the initial argument and then just rehashed that argument over and over.
There’s a scene near the end of the video where Emily puts her head on my shoulder. That’s my favourite. Not because I enjoyed having a lovely young woman resting her head on my shoulder (and I did) but more because when Emily was given the direction to do it, she said with a screwed up face “I’d never do that!” Yes, Emily is an independent woman…though she also has commitment to her craft…commitment to the project…commitment to the arts. She is a complete pro.
Seriously, Emily is fab. It was a pleasure to work with her.
Helping Mitchel out was his partner (professional, not romantic) Chris Klomp. Chris was almost mute until Emily showed up. Then he became a tower of strength and a beacon of guidance.
Both Mitchel and Chris were great to work with as well.
Look for the video to be released soon…and go buy the Priceless - Super Single!

O, how I’ve missed the Bstar VIBLOGEOS! Give us more! Looking forward to seeing the finished Priceless vid as well.
Stewart, I don’t know how to break this news gently… There is already a band called Kings of Convenience. I have one of their cds, so I am 100% sure: http://www.kingsofconvenience.com/
But if someone else hadn’t already had the idea, it would indeed be a good band name! Not as good as Brittlestar, of course.
